Mustard Seed Ministries has served St. Lucie County residents in crisis for 39 years through two food pantries, our Sarah’s Kitchen hot meal program at four local churches, and through social services aimed at preventing homelessness and utility shutoffs.
Our mission is to feed people and to address immediate needs so families can stabilize and begin resolving the root causes of their crises. Each year, we serve more than 22,000 people and provide more than 100,000 hot meals. This is accomplished with a dedicated staff of 22 and a compassionate volunteer force of 175.
We operate food pantries in Port St. Lucie and Fort Pierce, where we provide groceries to several hundred families and individuals weekly, and we have two thrift stores where we accept donations of used, but good quality clothing, furniture and other household items. We re-sell the items to support our programs.
Every person involved in our mission cares deeply for those who walk through the doors of Mustard Seed seeking hope and help, and for those we reach out to on the street. We do our best to serve them all, so donations from individuals and businesses in the community are always needed to continue the important services we provide.
